💀 Character Information
Name: Pamela 'Pam' Ravenscroft
Canon: The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris
Canon Point: Post-canon death.

Age: Born in 1843, her appearance/age halted at 19. She is in reality 169.

Description: Pam is blond haired, blue eyed, tall and thin, and bears a passing resemblance to Alice in Wonderland. She appears about 19, but something about her tells the lie when you look at her long enough. Despite her vampire nature, she despises the usual red and black lace getup so popular in movies, and instead prefers light colors in luxurious fabrics like silk (good luck Pam!). When worked up, or when she feels like showing them, Pam has a long pair of fangs that drop down.

Physical changes: None

Powers:
Since Pam is a vampire she has the following powers:

Super strength, speed, and agility: Relatively speaking, Pam is a young vampire so her abilities in this area are still growing. However, she is known in canon for being an extremely fierce, capable, and renowned fighter.

Heightened Senses (sound, taste, smell, sight).

Compulsion: Pam can glamour humans and other supernaturals (with varying degrees of success). In hell, this would be sporadic and unreliable and much more difficult to work with any subtlety. Pam would no longer be able to use it with anything approaching brute force and would be more successful in just helping someone along toward an inclination they already had.

Drinking Blood: She must drink blood to live, but does not need to kill to eat (that's just for fun). It is a compulsion. The longer she goes without blood, the more uncontrollable the need and the more likely that Pam could accidentally kill. Most kinds of blood are fair game, but can have varying effects. Faerie blood, for instance is exquisite, but like steroids and would heighten Pam's power to a much greater degree, but would also act like a drug trip. In hell this could be interesting as she may be playing Russian roulette with her food. Most blood could be passable, but others could have strange effects or even make her ill.

Pam's Blood: Vampire blood, known as 'V' is like a drug for humans and other supes giving the user vampire-like abilities/traits (super strength, healing, allure etc.), but with the risk of a psychotic break. Vampire blood can be used to heal humans back to good health. Drinking vampire blood creates a bond between that human and the vampire resulting in a sort of gps for the vampire to find that person as well as a sort of psychic link particularly if blood is exchanged both ways. In hell the effect of her blood would be diminished and side-effects more common.

Healing: Pam will naturally heal from just about anything short of full and prolonged exposure to sunlight or fire, being staked, or having her head cut off. On the station healing time would be severely lengthened. The more critical injuries that would have once taken her a month or more to heal normally might even be able to kill her.

Making New Vampires: Pam can make a new vampire if she makes them drink enough of her blood and drains them of theirs (killing them) afterward. This would not have an affect in hell as it does in the living worlds.

Sleep: Pam is compelled sleep during the daytime hours in a completely darkened place. The compulsion will be very difficult to resist and she will begin to bleed if she does not obey. When asleep, it is almost impossible to wake her, as if she is truly dead. This is when she is the most vulnerable. In hell, where the sun and moon are different, the dead compulsive sleep will be less powerful, and going around during the day will not harm her, but neither will it be comfortable. Pam will generally be able to choose when to sleep unless she waits too long.

Silver: Silver burns, binds, and can kill her
Garlic: Cannot harm her, but is a mild allergen
Holy objects/places: Have no effect
Sun: In living worlds, will incinerate her.

History: Pamela Ravenscroft grew up in Victorian London where she lived in her parent's house until the ripe old age of 19 when she died in 1843. Luckily for her, at least she thinks so, on her way home from a clandestine meeting with a young man she had been forbidden by her parents to see, she was taken by Eric Northmen and made a vampire. She rose from the grave a few days later and joined him to live out the undead years of her death. Pam was not much disturbed by this as even then she was wild and not fit for her time and place. She found to her delight that being a vampire suited her, and quickly grew into a shining example of her kind, shedding her humanity as a snake might shed its skin.

Her relationship with Eric was no less carnal than the rest of her new existence, but after a while that part of their relationship cooled, and while it might rekindle now and again, Pam was free to explore the world and herself at her leisure so long as her loyalty did not stray. It was not a difficult requirement to follow, natural inclination reinforced by compulsion. Pam loved Eric as a daughter might and as a constant companion and did not chafe at the compulsive bond between maker and child. He gave her enough free rein, and she returned the favor with undying loyalty.

As a pair they moved through Europe and then to the United States until finally they settled in the Louisiana Kingdom in the town of Shreveport. When the great revelation, the coming out of vampires, occurred in 1998, Eric and Pam opened Fangtasia, a new vampire bar serving liquor among other unofficial pleasures, using the allure and human vampire fetish to attract visitors. During this time aside from co-owner of the bar, Pam serves as Eric's second in command, the only individual that he truly trusts. In this capacity she advises him and does what is asked of her, tasks that range from running errands, to burying bodies, to going into battle, all with good dry humor. Despite or maybe because of that loyalty, she takes great delight in teasing Eric and figuratively tweaking his nose.

Hell Status: Vetran.

What Brings Them To Hell: Having already died once, Pam is one of the damned already. In her vampire life she was vicious and merciless at times, killing humans, vampires, and other supes often, with pleasure, and rarely for self-defense alone.

The Pitch: Pam is cold and cynical on the surface, but that sarcastic front gives way on occasion to real humor, so dry sometimes that it's easy to miss, and also to rare kindnesses. If asked to help, her answer may be acerbic, but to perhaps the surprise of all, she will occasionally go out of her way to do so anyhow, although it's often for her own internal amusement or according to other motivations.

Pam is proud of being a vampire and will rarely hide the fact especially now that after the great revelation she does not have to unless it suits her other purposes. She knows that it makes her seem intimidating, sexy, mysterious, and often terrifying, qualities that she exploits to her great advantage at every possible turn. She has a reputation among vampires and other supes as being a fierce and vicious fighter and enjoys indulging that side of herself whenever possible, but she is not incautious. She won’t enter a fight needlessly.

Despite her tough exterior, Pam does have a more delicate emotional side that she allows only those close to her to see. Pam enjoys the company of both sexes, but favors women, maintaining sometimes casual, sometimes serious relationships which allow her to meet her needs, sexual, nutritional, and occasionally emotional. She reads a great deal and finds a guilty pleasure in following Dear Abbey and passing on that advice to the few humans she deigns to keep company with like Sookie who she considers her closest 'breather' friend, a realization which takes Sookie by surprise over and over again.

Pam is a complex character whose actions and motivations cannot always be readily understood. Her loyalty, when earned, is fierce and completely unwavering yet her callousness and disdain for anyone outside of that small circle matches that quality with almost equal intensity.

Setting Fit:

Pam will have taken hell in stride quite quickly upon arrival. As in life, where Pam was certain that she had been born to be turned into the vampire she became, Pam will not necessarily see it as a terrible thing to have ended up in hell. She’s never wanted redemption and would likely see this as an evolution rather than a punishment. Where else could she go and be even more herself than here? Her only qualm will have been her utter separation from Eric, not just their physical separation, but the bond between maker and child that will have severed at her death.

In the first few months, Pam will have quickly become indispensable to the owner of a local hotspot, only to up and leave without even two weeks’ notice when she’d saved enough to open her own little nightclub. The bastard hadn’t been worth her time to stick around.

Working at the nightclub, Pam will have the opportunity to meet a lot of different people coming through the doors. The smart ones will see that cultivating her friendship and approval as a valuable ally in business or in more unsavory dealings is worth their time.

Lounging against the bar, ignoring Ginger and rest of the breather brigade as they cleared and cleaned from the night's routine festivities, Pam read the morning paper. The early morning paper. She spared a glance for her watch, knowing very well what time it was, and flipped a few pages in.

After a moment Pam's mouth curved in a grin and she laughed. "Should have stayed buried. Now that is funny," she said looking up from her paper briefly to meet the startled looks of the human herd who had all frozen in the midst of their tasks looking at her with apprehension.

The smile faded from her face and she frowned. Ginger, nearest her, started back.

"What do you think you're doing?" she snapped. "We don't pay you to stand around gawking. Save it for the tourists," she chided.

"Well? Jump," she commanded, as she straightened, folding the paper, Ginger nearly falling over. Pam did not spare her a glance. That woman has no brain left. She thought idly, not for the first time.

"Time for me to get my beauty sleep," she said, all cold serenity again. "Don't do anything that you'll regret in the evening."

She passed through to the office where Eric was still awake and perched herself on the edge of the desk He looked up at her, raising his eyebrows. "Pam?"

"You know Eric, we need new humans. These ones are all too stupid to be afraid."

"Would you rather turn them?"

"I would rather eat them," she said with a shrug. "But we can't always get what we want," she added, and rose, leaving Eric alone with a bemused smile on his face.

Watching the fighting on the previous day had been informative for Pam. Although she had greatly wished to show them all how it was done, Pam had kept to herself, avoiding company and conversation as she watched, observing not only the fighters, but the spectators too. Silly human girls, macho men with varying levels of skill, and the more enigmatic memebers of the station's company as well. Klaus had been there, although she did not speak to him beyond a civil nod. He seemed to spend most of his time chatting up the infamous blue woman that Santana had mentioned.

What Pam really wants now is to let of some of the tension that has been building since she had been ripped from Eric's house to awaken in a quarantine cell, and she now knows just where to go to do that. Killing is off limits, and more the pity, but she's happy enough to take out her ire on the next meathead she comes across.

Pam returns to the same sparring room that had seen so much activity the previous day and, hearing the sound of fists smacking against the bags, Pam enters. She doesn't say anything at first, just watches, arms crossed as the man moves.

Finally she says, "Hello, handsome." Just to get his attention.

It isn't out of any overwhelming need of Pam's to be girlfriends with the only other female vampire on the station that has her waiting outside the wardrobe door for Caroline. She has other motives, only one of which is acquiring a real wardrobe which is a task she might have done on her own if it had not met other needs.

Pam leans against the wall casually, having exchanged prison clothes on their first excursion the day before for slim dark jeans, black pumps, and a pretty cream sweater just to get her through the day.

It is another few minutes before she sees Caroline coming toward her down the hall, and Pam frowns. She had not sensed Caroline until she was almost within view. Klaus had mentioned, and she had certainly noticed that her skills might seem to be diminished in some way. Pam does not like it one bit.

"Caroline!" she calls out, as cheerful as Pam gets, almost friendly. "I had begun to think you were standing me up," she says, pleased that she's remembered the phrase. In a few moments she will know if Klaus has told on her.
